Man of God

1 Kings 13:¹⁸ The old prophet answered, "I too am a prophet, as you are. And an angel said to me by the word of the LORD : 'Bring him back with you to your house so that he may eat bread and drink water.' " (But he was lying to him.)

The Man of God was decevied by a prophet and because he broke God's commands for him, he was mauled to death by a lion.

Whether I am a Man of God, I need to stick very closely to God and make sure if even the words of a prophet could be real. I need to test it and pray to God and make sure if it's really from him.

Dear God,

As I am about to go on a missions trip to California, I pray that you will protect me from being deceived. Lord these people can even say they are a prophet or a christian, but they can lead me to sin against you. Father I pray that you will help me to know your words carefully. I thank you God that first of all you are gonna use me to deliver your message and perform signs from you. So I pray that you'll bless me and may I live a life close to you with a heart after your own.
