Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Today, As I had a talk with Pastor Raymond, I noticed that I'm always trying to lean on my understanding. It's always good to know what I'm getting myself into, but God is the one who gives understanding. Proverbs 2:6 says that the LORD gives wisdom and from His mouth comes knowledge and understanding. If I want to understand how God's going to build me up then I need to ask Him.
I need to acknowledge Him in all of my ways and He will make my paths straight. When I acknowledge God, it shows my journey. It shows that I trust in Him from now to the end. It shows a reverence towards Him and also where my heart is. God says to keep His commandments in my heart and I will live long and be prosperous. I'll trust in Him, and keep His commandments in my heart because that's where my understanding of the LORD's answer will be.
Dear God,
I thank you Jesus for your commandments. They are to give me a long and satisfying life. There's no death in you because you said that you've came to give life and life more abundant. God I pray that you will help me to trust in you when times seem impossible, but nothing is impossible for you. Lord I acknowledge you right now, that you are the Lord and God over my life. Jesus you are the savor of my soul because you have bought it with your blood. You not only paid but you have set me free. You don't tempt me but you are faithful to me and I'll be faithful to you. LORD help me to honor you in all of my ways. Change me, dear Lord and let me be the man, the servant you have created me to be!
In Jesus Name Amen.
