The Heart Behind Harvesting

Leviticus 26:3 “If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, 4 I will send you the seasonal rains."

When I've read this scripture, I remembered someone said "We all go through our seasons." and then I tried making the connections that every season can have it's blessing through our obedience to God.

Joseph was obedient to God. When Pharaoh had a dream and told Joseph about it, Joseph told him that there will be 7 prosperous years and after that 7 years of famine. Now if Egypt had not decided to be obedient to the word of God then they would not have stored up a good 7 year full of harvest and like every other nation begun to diminish in those 7 years of famine.

Dear God,
Lord thank you for sharing this scripture with me. I pray that it was true to your word because I felt that I took it out of context. But Lord as I started thinking about the idea that was planted in my head, I started to see the bigger picture of it. The heart behind it. And that heart is that every season has it's blessings from you. Even in my seasons of burden and famine, you can continue to make it prosper just as how you did for Egypt. Every nation came to trade with them because they had more than enough. They were obedient to you and they got the blessing from you. Lord let me learn to be more sensitive to you as you speak to me. You speak to me in many ways and I pray that you will confirm those things after you have spoken to me. I ask that you clean out my ears and my heart. Your word can piece through the hardest of hearts and never comes back void. You are the one who gives understanding. Thank you Lord Jesus.
In Your Mighty Name I Pray, Amen.
