1 Thessalonians 5:8 But let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation.
Living in light represents knowing. This scripture is talking about the day of the Lord's return. Knowing what is going to happen I need to have my mind clear, under the faith and love of God, and filled with confidence of my salvation.
I know that I am saved because the Bible says confess that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. I need to keep my mind clean, protected by faith and love, and confident in my salvation. Also I need to build each other up with these.
Dear God,
Thank you for what you are doing. You are preparing us for the day of your coming. Lord you sent your servant Paul to do great works. And through those great works we are trying our best to live up to them. But Lord you haven't returned back to us. Make us, your people into a clearheaded, equipped with faith and love, full of confidence in our salvation. Our mind always wanders, but keep us focused in your truth! Teach us how to build up others so you may enjoy a real celebration when you return!
