Luke 22:45 At last he stood up again and returned to the disciples, only to find them asleep, exhausted from grief. 46 “Why are you sleeping?” he asked them. “Get up and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation.”
Jesus was praying on Mount Olives with two of His disciples when He suddenly finished praying and went to His disciples. Jesus found them asleep and exhausted from grief. Jesus asked "Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation.".
I need to pray so that I will not give in to temptation. I need to watch out that I may be exhausted from grief and it will cause me to fall asleep in my prayers.
Dear God,
Forgive me God for I am exhausted from my grief! My body wears out from each day of this constant temptation battle I am going through! Even in the morning I am already exhausted from grief! But Lord when I am strong, let me pray so that I will not fall into temptation for Lord I do not want to sin against you! They counted you as a rebel, then Lord may I be a rebel with you for my enemies are the one who is against me! Lord you are the way, the truth and life. I wish to seek you for that. Lord may I be for you!
