Shameless Persistence

Luke 11:8 But I tell you this—though he won’t do it for friendship’s sake, if you keep knocking long enough, he will get up and give you whatever you need because of your shameless persistence.

Jesus is teaching His disciples to keep on asking and it will be given to them. We should not be afraid to keep asking, because God will see that persistence and finally give what you ask for.

I need to keep asking God. I need to show him that I am persistent. But what I ask needs to have the right motives.

Dear God,

Thank you for this scripture. I pray that when I ask you persistently, it will be for a good reason. Why would I want something selfishly and persistently ask you at midnight? It needs to be a good reason! It's for other people. So Lord, I pray that I will remember this.
