Glorifying God

Genesis 11:8 In that way, the Lord scattered them all over the world, and they stopped building the city. 9 That is why the city was called Babel, because that is where the Lord confused the people with different languages. In this way he scattered them all over the world.

Man was making a tower that represented the glory of man, and not for the glory of God. So God decided to confuse them so they could not understand each other.

I need to do what God wants me to do, so God will be glorified. I will have difficulties understanding other people, but if I am listening to God then we can understand each other.

Dear God,
I must glorify you first in my own heart. Help me to live a holy, righteouss life that glorifies only you. Let me do things for your glory, and not for the glory of myself. I don't want to be confused and scattered from the people who I work with, but I want to work and understand each other so that we may glorify only you and do everything.
In Jesus Name Amen.
