Being sure of God's promises.

Genesis 15:8 But Abram replied, “O Sovereign Lord, how can I be sure that I will actually possess it?” 9 The Lord told him, “Bring me a three-year-old heifer, a three-year-old female goat, a three-year-old ram, a turtledove, and a young pigeon.” 10 So Abram presented all these to him and killed them. Then he cut each animal down the middle and laid the halves side by side; he did not, however, cut the birds in half.

Abram wanted to know how God's going to give this land to him and God told him to bring to him these animals. I believe that these animals were really fattened up. Abram took the best of the best, and killed them.

God wants me to give to Him the precious things that I've work for, so that I can be sure that God's putting His blessings into my possession. I need to give God things like my hard-earned money, the things that I tried so hard at.

Dear God,
Father blessed be your name. For you surely will put your blessings into my possession. I pray that I will surrender any precious things for you. I may have worked hard, but now I can be blessed even more with bigger things. Let my faith cause me to be righteouss because I don't want to try and cheat anything off of you!
In Jesus Name Amen.
