Fishing for a Living

Mark 1: 16 One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living. 17 Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!” 18 And they left their nets at once and followed him.

Simon and his brother Andrew fished for a living. Jesus told them that He will teach them how to fish for people, which is reaching out to the people.

What am I doing for a living that Jesus can teach me how to fish for people? If I'm going to be a Doctor or any job, then why not let Jesus show me how to start fishing for people.

Dear God,
Let me cast a rod into the crowd and bring them onto the boat that is heaven bound. But God I know you want me to catch everyone, not just one. Give me a keen eye, an eagle's eye, an eye like yours that can see every hidden thing. Let me expose it to you because you know the fish better than I do. It's you who change people, and I'm here as a servant bringing everyone aboard. Thank you God that you first brought me aboard, and now let me bring everyone else aboard the boat that will sail for you.
In Jesus Name Amen.
