Acts 28: 17 Three days after Paul’s arrival, he called together the local Jewish leaders. He said to them, “Brothers, I was arrested in Jerusalem and handed over to the Roman government, even though I had done nothing against our people or the customs of our ancestors. 18 The Romans tried me and wanted to release me, because they found no cause for the death sentence.
Paul did nothing wrong, nothing against God and nothing against the Jewish laws. Paul knew very well the Jewish customs and tradition, as well as God's commands and decrees. Paul was innocent when he went to reach out to everyone.
I need to be innocent as well, because if it's like me going into a honor society, I need to pass the requirment otherwise they would find me guilty for breaking their requirments and rules, which pretty much is like law. I need to be prepared for the customs and tradition of a group of people because I want to be found innocent, righteous, and holy. But my God's commands and decrees are to be first because God is Lord over my life. I cannot break His rules.
Dear God,
Lord I need to be living a holy and righteous life. Free from sin and guilt otherwise how am I going to be a light to your people? If I am ever going to be a light to everyone you want me to reach out to, I need to be living a life that is obedient to your laws. I need to first of all, know your laws because your laws are over my life. If I break one, that one sin means death for me. Lord let me be full of your life, like a child who obeys and honors his father. Jesus how much would it cost you if we knew you sinned against your own people? That would break everyone's heart because my soul cries out for the real God for salvation. But I thank you Jesus that you never sinned and that you a sinless man died for us so we may have salvation. Lord let me live a holy, righteous, and sinfree life.
In Jesus Name Amen.
